« Terminal Temporaire », the museum space at the very heart of the airport in Toulouse

The Hall C boarding zone has become the « Terminal Temporaire » (Temporary Terminal), since April 29. This « off-ground » space of the Musée des Abattoirs, which will host a different exhibition every 6 months for 3 years, was born by the association of the airport, the Musée des Abattoirs and the Frac Midi-Pyrénées. These exhibitions, sometimes by young artists, will be about different art types : pictures, paintings, videos, sculptures...

The first 6 months are dedicated to the first episode of this series, which is called « Departure ». In such a project, the artists are taking travellers into another world, where voyages and art are magically as one. Travellers will beable to gaze upon plenty of pieces, focused on departure, by contemporary artists, such as Philippe Poutet, Pierre Alechinsky, Géraldine Lay, Guillaume Durrieu, or even a movie by Béatrice Utrilla and Bertrand Arnaud: « je te quitte ».

Awakening senses

In addition to the forms of art mentioned earlier, some artists will affect our sense of hearing: Volume Original.  Indeed, they created an external appeal mechanism with « sonorous pointers » but also a sonar shower, sonorized windows, and a myriad of low-volume speakers. This is what it takes to take travellers even further than they thought.
